I too am waiting for my forum approval.
I'm not defending them but (assuming they're honest folk) I can imagine how swamped they are; balancing customer service with development is proving too much. Hopefully they're being extra security conscious with everything they build now, and having fake requests to deal with is the cherry on top!

Hopefully they're being extra security conscious with everything they build now, and having fake requests to deal with is the cherry on top! I'm wanting to remain optimistic, i even offered to help, ethrestoreforum.freeforums.net/post/233/threadBut all my correspondences have been ignored. If its a genuine situation, I'd prefer to be moderating that forum and helping out. If ethereum-wallet.net are attempting a bitfinex style recovery (https://www.bitfinex.com/posts/198) - they need to be transparent about it. Daily updates.

I'm still assuming they're sincerely trying to fix things and are currently absolutely overwhelmed. In any case, it's not very professional how they manage the situation... Besides the huge lack in communication, they should involve the community.
If it was a root takeover, it must have involved inside knowledge with forward planning. That alone with the adresses and ip and all that should make it easy for competent investigators to track down the origin. Unfortunately, the longer it takes, the smaller the chance gets for that to happen. How they're making so little progress gives me the impression that they have very little knowledge of how to manage such a situation. Well, if that is the case, it still gives us the chance to receive a compensation, if they want to restore their dignity.

Just spotted these 3 sites, all have digitial certificates issued by GeoTrust Inc. GeoTrust is a digital certificate provider. The GeoTrust brand is now owned by Symantec as part of its $1.28 billion acquisition of Verisign's security business in 2010. Symantec landing page "Fueled by the world's largest civilian threat intelligence network" Might be worth mailing pointing out to Symantec, their subsidiaries are assisting pirates.
