I'm collating everyones tx info and reviewing it. Its going to take me a couple of days, alongside life. If you haven't completed the
www.ic3.gov/default.aspxPlease do it. The following details the majority of details i've submitted on IC3. The more people who complete this, the better.. It doesn't matter where in the world you are. If need be, in every US embassy there's an FBI office. If you feel better doing it face to face, do it..
What to include or use:
I am a user of the website ethereum-wallet.net and appear to have fallen victim of an Exit-Scam.
The website ethereum-wallet.net was initially regisered on 19July2016 by a Brier Hebert. The website offered a secure and resiliant online digitial wallet service.
Users of the service including myself, stored digitial curriencies using the website services, when the value of the digitial currency Ethereum (ETH) reached its highest value between 15May and 30May 2017, the site dissapeared and the following message was posted:
<#
"Regretfully, our server (root account) was compromised two days after switching web hosting providers. We are still investigating how the attack happened.
The majority of the Ether was moved to:
etherscan.io/address/0xef9e06ee6c6adde29237e55a20e6743c92575ebe by the attacker.
An attacker has moved most of the Ethereum on the website, but thankfully we have managed to recover a portion of it from low balance accounts.
We will be announcing a user reimbursement plan soon.
Brief Update
We plan to bring the website back up for reimbursements/withdraws by June 7th. Users will be issued separate tokens according to their previous balance based on a pool comprised of recovered tokens. We will raise additional funds to cover the remaining losses through the website's profits.
Following this event, we will change the implementation of our wallet to a client-sided model so this can't happen again.
Thank you for your patience.
June 1 Update
